Do feel like your bass is rare?
Not saying that we are the only two with the basses, but I feel honored!
They show up here at Talkbass at maybe once a month, and Guitar Center moves them a few times a year in the St. Louis area. So I have been seeing maybe 15 a year the last two years.
The one I saw at GC is gone. I think the best bet is to watch eBay.
I was lucky to find a 1997 in 99.8% new condition.
Prior to that, I had every intention of purchasing a new Carvin JB4.

I can see why. My old Suhr Fender Jazz V Deluxe was a great bass too.
At some point Sharay changed the preamp (don't know why). He stated so on a Youtube post.
I'm pretty sure his earlier videos have the stock preamp.

How to indentify a Suhr Fender? They have large single pole pieces instead of small double pole pieces. They have five online head stocks and enclosed Gotoh tuners.
