Any Clutch fans here ?

Well, I decided to get caught up on the Clutch catalog, since I loved the bookends Beale St. and their self-titled so much. So I just picked up Transnational, Slow Hole, Robot Hive, Pure Rock Fury, Elephant Riders, & Blast Tyrant. Just listened to Blast - it is so ridiculously good !!!! I can`t believe an album that good escaped me all these years ! Will get acquainted with the others in my work commute this weekend !

Their new album (I believe still slated for Oct 2012) is going to kick ass. I've heard them do several of the new songs this year, and they all rock hard!

My only exposure to the new tunes has been through crappy YouTube clips....but I am itching to blast some new Clutch from a proper stereo.

It's been a while since they hit the UK as headliners...hopefully they'll include a little hop onto our isle on their next jaunt!

Earth Rocker is imminent...who's stoked? :)

Can't wait!

My 3 year old's favorite song is "Profits of Doom." He calls it "the mustache song" which is pretty funny. He also likes "The mob goes wild" which he calls "just my pants." :D

I'm a relatively recent convert but they've quickly become one of my favorite bands. They've been consistently awesome throughout a 20+ year career. How many bands can boast that kind kind of track record? Favorite album, song? Changes daily. Today was a Beale St./Strange Cousins kind of day.

I had a full start-to-finish blast of the second record today. Still blows me away.

cant wait for the new album...love Clutch and have alot of respect for their approach to music and views on the music industry in general...not often do you find a band completely willing to reinvent themselves every couple of years, and its always epic...

last time I saw em live was 2 years ago and it was a blast..cant wait to get tickets for the earth rocker tour

Well...the title track certainly rocks and they sound as good as ever.

If I'm honest, I'm hoping the album is another mine of wonderful wordsmithery, as the lyrics to Earth Rocker are a bit simple by Neil's standards.

Maybe this track is the albums 'Electric Worry'...a stripped down, no nonsense four minute foot-tapper :)

I unexpectedly lost a friend Thursday night. I couldn't play 'Prison Planet' last night because it started to choke me up..We were musing once and he opined "While 'Drink to the Dead' is a nice sentiment,I'd like to point out death is really an 'Escape from the Prison Planet'..play that one for me.." Next weekend, that one's on 11 :bassist:
Just wanted to share one of my favorite local Clutch performances..Invalid Link Removed

It really sucks to lose someone you care about. What's always helped me in these instances is to honor your friends in their departure by constantly remembering all the great times you had together...and rock out hard to all the stuff he loved.
