Got a bass with two Ps that needs rewiring. Can I just use a Jazz Bass schematic or is there something else that needs to be considered because they're P pickups?

Nice, thanks. Now, considering I have two holes on my pickguard and limited space, should I do a stacked knob for vol/vol? Is there such a beast and where do I find it? An hour's worth of searching hasn't helped...
n00b question... why would one or the other (250 or 500k) be preferable?
Is the reverse true? If they reduce highs, does that mean that 500k pots reduce lows somehow?
Finding a bunch of 100K pots in my bin - no idea where they came from. What would THESE be used for...?

So maybe 500K would be the way to go for a P bass then... tone pot too?
I personally think the difference in sounds between a p and a j are more about pickup placement than the actual pickup design. If you have a j pickup in more of a middle position where most p pickups are they sound pretty close to the same.
