How does it sound on bass? The Marshall Supa Fuzz is similar to Tonebender mk.II's that sound good on bass. Might need to build another to keep for yourself!

Upcoming news; My next pedal is also a Marshall clone. I have a handful of LM386's on the way for upcoming distortion/fuzz builds and ordered a couple of pcb's from FuzzDog to keep me busy for the foreseeable future.

Doesn't sound to bad. Could use a little more low end. I had a few extra pcbs made so I can tinker. Hmm, maybe I 'll do one for myself with a clean bend. I have a few ideas kicking around . Might evolve into something cool for bass.

i built this one a while ago. It's the Solo Dallas Storm which is what Angus Young used to drive his Marshalls for a fuller & fatter tone. it's basically the Schaffer diversity system compander circuit in pedal form, which was a wireless system that Angus used live and in the studio.

How is the Storm on bass? I have been looking at getting the PedalPCB version to build but I wasn't sure how it sounded on the low end.

it sounds great with a bass and doesn't lose any low end as far as i can tell. mine is the Aion effects version.

I was hoping to have one completed to share this weekend, but it looks like I didnt order one of the ICs (JRC386D/LM386-3)
Tayda has them in stock, and they finally have my green 125B enclosure back in stock for the PedalPCB CDXL build, so looks like it's time to put ANOTHER order through...

Which CDXL are you going to build? Classic or Reissue?
I bought a VTL5C4/2 from SmallBear a few months ago to build the CDXL Classic, but of course, the pcb sold out around the same time so that expensive part will have to wait until a later date.

Recently ordered a couple of LM386N-1. Here's my list of projects where I plan to use them:
PaulintheLab Nintendetar (stripboard) coming soon!!
Sunny-T AMZ (FuzzDog pcb)
FranTone Peach Fuzz (FuzzDog pcb)
FranTone Lo-Tone Fuzz (stripboard)
ProTone Body Rot II (stripboard) ...maybe, I might be burned out on LM386 distortions by the time I get to this one.

I got a little carried away and ordered 7 projects from FuzzDog. Then checked my parts stash to realize I only have 6 stomp switches left in stock. One project will be left unfinished unless I place yet another order... now have to plan out a few more projects before placing an order for stomp switches. This is how I end up building so many pedals and spending too much money. :help:

Reissue, so no VTL's needed. I have a handful of other filters, I figured for the price I would build this one to try also.

For my friends here who don't hang in my long thread in the Pickups and Electronics forum, yesterday I posted the bill of materials for my open source variable resonance LPF: Standalone LPF Version | TalkBass.com

I'll be adding some features for the pedal version as time allows, but I want to get more user impressions first and expect to be at the Seattle GTG on Aug. 15th with that in mind. I plan to bring along at least two pedals and one bass demonstrating various versions, hope to see a few of you there.

Also, I know this is a DIY thread, but I just scored a brand new Source Audio C4 for free! I was given a substantial Amazon gift card for my work anniversary by HR. I've always wanted a C4, and now I have one on the way. So excited, I just wanted to share with fellow pedal people.

There is a long running DIY pedalboard thread that needs a bump.

Here's several of my pedal builds from a few months ago on top of DIY pedalboards. Pedalboards are cut from 1x6 scrap, spray painted black and covered in Velcro carpet. Dumpster diver special! The board were used for concrete framing and had to be washed off and sanded first.
