It’s a state variable filter. High Pass, Low pass, Band pass. I’m not good at explaining but it changes the tone of your bass. Cuts highs or lows. Someone else could probably explain it better. To me it’s a tone machine.

I had been looking at various DC-DC converter approaches and just got in two of the Traco modules he recommends. Planning on doing my own PCB for them and then if that works out I will start throwing that layout into various pedal builds I have in mind. The TS-50 board looks interesting in its own right too, may just have to take a shot at building one up eventually.

Thank you, It's a modified published circuit that I had made into pcb. Its not the anderton but may be a derivative of it. I need to look at that one closer. I have only seen it briefly.

I know the feeling. I just boxed up 2 more that I’ll post later and have an unknown amount ready to be boxed.I got a package with 4 more boards from PedalPCB today. I lost count of how many pedals I have in process right now.
I had fell in a rut due to my lack of enclosure finishing abilities, I could never get them where I was happy. That has been resolved and I am re-inspired. There are some really great and helpful people out there in the diy world.

Two questions:
What was your breakthrough with the graphics aspect? I'm still just throwing money at other people, but unless I start building a lot more pedals that's well worth it to me.
I don't see a switch or mix section on your filter, which flavor filter response are you using? Great job in any case!
A couple more off the to do list. Duality is a pcb from Aion , Orange is based on the AD200. I used an on-line schematic and had the pcb made. I didn’t get any gut shots yet. The paint on the Orange is an Orange mist over white. I may try an Orange mist over black at some point.

I just perused over the build docs and did see the mention of the mids mod. Thanks for sharing.
Nice build! Someone mentioned those mods years back and I had emailed Doug who sent them upon request. When Aion posted the pcb tracing journal I sent the mods to him, cool that he added to build docs. I have the pcb but aven't built it yet though.
Here's my first submission in all her glory.
A PedalPCB Maleficent Mids (JHS Haunting Mids clone). Modified to have it's frequency sweep between 170hz-1.9khz instead of the stock 400hz-7.5khz.
Many lessons were learned on this build. It's not my first build, but the first to try to include any artwork as well as trying to keep the guts clean.
It's a little ugly, but as any parent with ugly children can attest to, it's the most beautiful thing I've laid my eyes on.

What's the extra ground wire on the switch?
Thanks for the compliment, but the image looks a little better than the real thing. I think I was too close on the first topcoat and it got under the label. Also slight bit of ink run.
The artwork is just a clear printed label with a few coats of clear topcoat. I used Inkscape to draw it up. I was able to come up with an svg file that had the template, mock, and print layers in the same file. Very useful. But one lesson learned was don't print directly from Inkscape. Apparently, printing at 100% can be interpreted in many ways. Prints kept coming out slightly scaled down. Had to save as pdf then print. This lesson cost me a bit.
The ground wire on the switch is soldered to a toothed washer on the other side of the switch. It was an afterthought after I realized that the cliff jacks weren't going to ground the enclosure. Another lesson. Cliff jacks have their use, but it wasn't here.

How do you adjust the frequency or change between LP, HP, BP?Just finished this up. It’s a State Variable Filter. Sounds awesome on bass. So many tones to be had. Really enjoying this one. Pcb by me. Finally , with the help from a friend (
