That was the third FZ album I bought.
March ‘74..."Apostrophe" came it in 70 what?
I listened to a fair amount of him in the 70's and 80's. I read a biography and people pretty much agreed he was a self-absorbed pompous Richard Cranium. I recently pulled out a lot of his catalogue to listen to and didn't get through much of it. boooooooooring. I don't think I'll be trying it again any time soon.
On this day in 1985, the PMRC convinced the RIAA to put labels on 'offensive' albums.
One of the first to get labeled was Frank Zappa's completely instrumental album, 'Jazz from Hell':

Ok...nothing to see here folks, move along.
The OP asked a question, "Any Frank Zappa fans here?" I answered it. I'm not sure why that's a problem. I didn't rebut every post that said they like Zappa. I didn't say anyone was a Richard Cranium because they like him. Are we now to the point where we're not allowed to post opinions? Are contrary opinions now so offensive that we can't just move on to the next post if we disagree?
