Any hope for authentic Fender Precision?

I got this bass from a guy, he claimed it is a fender mim precision deluxe. Apparently with replaced pickups and bridge, but i have my concerns about the rest.. Can't find any serial number other than patent numbers. It says made in usa, it have custom shop logo and a corona california plate. 99,9% not an authentic fender precision bass but atleast if the parts were genuine i would be so happy.

By the way the finish looks premium and the wood waves are visible (not in photos though). Probably maple or alder.

Funny but no, i expected at least to have a genuine fender body and neck parts.. Well officially got ripped off!

Incorrect fake decals. Incorrect placement. Wrong neckplate, tuners, bridge and bridge pickup. As far as being a Fender:wrongfest.

It might still be a fine bass, just not a Fender.

this one even still has the "backed by Fender" on the back of the headstock. you got yourself a Squier Affinity (at least the neck). I find it more strange that 2 separate people have shown similar basses with the same story and similar logos this week or so

How does it play? it looks like a nice bass and sometimes the problem with these counterfeit basses is the person you got the bass from was hoodwinked and is just repeating to you what they were told when they bought it. Unfortunately not everyone is knowledgeable about what to look for especially parents buying instruments for their kids.
