Amp goes down, only has $200 to spend for a replacement and next gig is that evening. Personal rules dictate always buy new. Not comfortable buying used and nothing really decent used is available anyway. What do you do?
Uh, I was trying to make a point here. Let's assume the 'B' costs $200, aaight?jja412 said:Rent?? I don't think $200 wil buy a decent new amp for a working musician.
That's what I'd expect. Just guessing but if the copy is that blatant they might have a deal for the use that includes an agreement to keep their mouths shut to not dilute Ashdowns name value. Or Ashdown might be based on other designs so much they don't have any ownership to claim or have licensed designs themselves. If they use the exact same PCB a copyright suit should be rather easy if used without a deal of somekind.IvanMike said:However, if one company develops and patents a design and another company blatently copies it, then there's a problem. Legally the developing company should be able to take action as their patent was violated.
The guys from Ashdown are the guys from Trace Elliot.heath_the_great said:i heard somewhere that ashdown is trace elliot or is a copy of trace elliot of something like that, i was told that ages ago..cant really remember
