If you're sure, REALLY sure you want nothing to grow someplace ever again and you don't have a runoff issue, rock salt is a nearly permanent solution.

yes, hate it. This is why I live in apartments.
I love doing yard work; I help people out with theirs whenever I get the chance. I has no yard![]()
I was wondering when that post was going to come....although gecko if your yard is anything like any Filipino yard I have ever seen, I'm afraid it'll probably be waaaaayy above my pay grade![]()
...You wouldn't believe some of the weird junk I'm pulling from the ground while excavating.![]()
I would because we live in a very old house. Just a partial list of the things I've dug up:
square head nuts and bolts, modern nuts and bolts, single chain links and short lengths of chain, cut nails, modern wire nails, old roofing nails with lead grommets, metal brackets of every description, an old heavily worn metal spoon, horse hitching post ring, spark plugs, a camshaft, part of a hood ornament, assorted metal rings and hooks (which I believe are from horse/mule harness), shotgun shell bases, handgun caliber brass, short pieces of electrical wire, and pounds and pounds of broken glass and china.
