Anyone a hipokrit with music?

You know, I never heard of them until my guitarist went to Nashville. I told him I love that town and to buy me a shirt, as a joke. He knew I was a church going man and so he bought that shirt as kind of a gag gift but since then I checked out who they are and I'm kind of into them now. Nothing like some gore and rockabilly all mixed up together.

If you check out their album "The Incredibly Strange People....", the guy who introduces the album is the singer in my band.

You're not the only one I know that's like this. There's this guy at my work that is a big time anti-religion dude but all he ever talks about is how Christian hard core and metal core is the best stuff out there.

i play in a country band, but hate country (it pays bills)

I used to do the same thing... I lived in a small mountain town, and it was either no music or country music, as they were the only decent band I could find that needed a bassist.

I couldn't stand country music.

I played with them for 3 years, and really grew an appreciation of it, especially for the complex vocal harmonies. Man, they were a PAIN, but a wonderful challenge at the same time. Lots of fun, good paying gigs, and the guys were excellent musicians as well as people.

A similar situation occurred when I joined a Celtic Folk band while living in a different small mountain town...
