Been waiting two weeks for a large envelope that shipped from Arizona.
And my mother-in-law sent a package eight days ago. It got to Austin four days ago and is still in-transit. It contains my wife's favorite Polish mayonnaise, an assortment of mushrooms, and...homemade pâté.

They are overwhelmed with super high volume this year. I think we need to cut the USPS some slack. They are working OT.
Gotta look on the bright side and consider the delay a fine aging process. By June, it will have all congealed into what essentially is a Big Mac, at which point you can enjoy it with some fave beans and a nice Chianti. Fffffffffffffffffffffffff.
Yerp. I haven't had mail delivery on a consistent daily basis for most of 2020 (here in the Atlanta area), and the last deliveries I had via both USPS and FedEx both took a full extra week of "it's late but on the way."
By consistency, I mean I'm used to Mon-Sat around 6pm here. Some days I get no mail, and recently I've seen mail deliveries on Sundays. Last Thursday the mail came at 9am.
I think that's a sign of them pulling out all the stops trying to keep the machine running, and I also suspect it'll get better once we survive the holidays.

In my area (Northern Colorado) USPS is generally doing a really solid job. They also have my sympathy because they were purposefully sabotaged for political purposes. It must be really frustrating for people who are looking to meet the challenge of their toughest time of the year to be handicapped by their management.
Regardless of that, here in Colorado we've been receiving USPS stuff promptly and have had no real delays in receiving packages or mail.
Next year I expect their machinery to be restored and for them to be in a better position. As a side comment, I have no idea why anyone would expect them to be a profit-making enterprise; they're a public service and should be funded accordingly.

Yes, but I've almost washed my hands of them. It's a good thing I've always had a sense of humor.
Since the new Post Master General took over, it is common for packages to sit at Lehigh Valley, PA for 7-10 days. Sometimes they sit here in Berwick for 5 days coming or going.
There is nothing political going on, it’s record high volumes combined with staffing issues because of COVID.
The regional USPS distribution center is in my town - literally closer to my house than the local post office. I have learned that I have to chill when tracking says it's in my town, as there's often an extra day past that for it to get to the local post office, and then to my place.
This shipping thing will get better eventually, but right now, with vaccines getting shipped, everyone is getting used to the disruption that has on the entire industry - USPS often ships mail on commercial arilines, but that mail will get bumped if the airplane is shipping vaccine. I can wait for a pair of pickups if it means that people are getting vaccinated.

They got seriously screwed up by the post master General, then handled an election with millions of mail in ballots, then had to deal with XMAS all while dealing with staffing shortages from COVID.

I bought an item (not bass related) almost two weeks ago that's still in Pennsylvania. I just read an article today that USPS is swamped like never before this season due to Covid, and more people than ever shipping packages due to cancelling visitations with family.
I’ve got two packages, one mailed on Dec 2nd and another one on the 10th. Both are going to places in the same state where they were mailed and neither one has arrived yet. The one sent on the 2nd has been sitting less than thirty miles from it destination since the 6th and the other one has yet to leave the post office where i had it scanned in to their tracking system. One is first class and the other is priority so apparently both services are overwhelmed.

Wait a minute here...are you saying I won’t get my IEM’s before January? This is absurd. I demand a refund.
USPS can't turn away business like UPS and FedEx. They deliver packages from FedEx, UPS and Amazon. Carriers in Austin are working from 5:30 a.m. until sometimes as late as 10 p.m. They can only deliver what is put out that day and believe me they are overwhelmed like never before.
I have 2 packages that haven't moved in weeks. I called USPS and was told that due to covid, Priority mail will take 20-25 days. Fedex has been having issues too taking packages on a road trip back and forth across the country before actually delivering them. So far no issues with UPS.
I think its happening to alot of people, I ordered a pickguard on Reverb last month and it sat in the shippers local post office for a week before it left..
