Anyone here wear the same clothes every time they play?

Since I went back to school gigging for me has slowed down. A lot. I'm playing an average of 2 gigs a month, but with no intention of it staying that way. I used to put a bit of thought into the clothes I wear, yet playing in a few different bands I've gotten lazy about it. I found clothes that work pretty much for any of the bands I'm currently in, and I realized only recently I'm wearing them all the time. And I don't care.

Anyone else on board with this ?

If so, lets see wut yer wearing. What the heck. Post your current favorite clothes, even if you don't wear them all the time.

I only have one shiny polyester shirt. Polyester is the key to greatness. So, I wear the same thing every gig. Getting another polyester shirt might be a good idea, because then I would not have to wear the exact same thing every time.

Getting there. The first step was a utility kilt, which I've worn for every show since I got it, and the kilt looks so much better when I'm wearing para boots, so the para boots are now a constant. From the waist up, I'm generally wearing some band's T-shirt, note the T-shirt in question is always bought directly from the band, so no Slayer or DK shirts for this guy, Machine Gun Dolly - yep, Royal Red Brigade - damned straight, Flesh Roxon - Ehdottomasti!

That's half the point of our spring tour! I go on the road with two basses, one rack containing PA and Pre, two cabinets and a backpack of clothes and toiletries, and I come back with all of that plus 30-50 releases in various formats (7", 10", 12" vinyl, cd, digital download card, anything but cassette, and yes in some punk scenes they are trying to make a comeback...) T-shirts for stage for the coming year, and a selection of stickers (for bass cases and rack) and patches (most of which are destined for the front panel of the kilt!)

Black T shirt , Levi slim jeans , black boots , and a Stetson gamblers style hat. Substitute a black pinstripe shirt for higher end gigs. Been thinking about going to a red shirt and black vest but I haven't gotten to a store for the vest. Been thinking about this for 6 months. Am I a procrastinator? Am I indecisive? Am I just plain butt lazy? YES!!!

Wearing the same clothes is a great branding tool, recognizable as you every time. So Senor Nerve you got that going for ya.

Me, I like to bring some class to the third row, standing amongst the cables and monitors. I dress up for each gig, even open mike nights crapola gigs, well clean tee anyway.

It's my musical old school training, now that's entertainment

Black shoes: full black All Stars in summer, heavier kind on winter: they are also my everyday shoes.
Pants: my first pair of black pants I got over 6 years ago. Been gigging them for the last 3.
Shirt: mostly my faded green t-shirt; if not, a similar faded monochrome unbranded one. Faded green, dark grey, black.
I don't like too many colors.

I have three standard outfits, all of which go with the same very comfortable pair of shoes.

Vans or Nu-Chucks, black. Occasionally wingtips. Need a real good pair to last 3 sets without my feet cursing my name.
Black V-neck tee or a combo of colored thermal longsleeve under / black short sleeve button over. Not as "hot" onstage as you'd think.
Jeans, always.
Some accessories around the neck and wrists... sometimes a hat. trucker, cadet or newsboy usually.

Basically what you wear Joe, or slightly dressier.
Works from alterna rock to modern country, and hip hop in a pinch.

We might not think people notice this kind of stuff but theres a guy from a local band that ive noticed wears like the same jacket ALL the time, its even in band pictures. Nothing wrong with this its just kind of obvious after a while and a little curious.

I wear all kinds of stuff, but have a few nice button shirts in dark colors, vertical stripes, that I favor. The society band has had me wearing all black, or black slacks and a white shirt. Disclaimer: I don't really have black pants, and have been scraping by with Navy blue. No one has said anything yet.

Then a number of guys I play with wear all black with a t-shirt, or jeans and a black t-shirt, with black shoes or boots, not Chucks. So I have been thinking of donning the Jerry uniform - jeans, plain black t-shirt, and boots. I would add a hat on occasion. I find it is better to wear something that makes you look different than the crowd you're playing for, except on Halloween, when costumes are good.

Always: Black Levis and these shoes. Asics NYC Marathons. I like to have comfy feet.
For the rest, some variation--even a sports coat once in a while--depending on the venue.
