Anyone Make a "Bass-Specific" Electronic Tuner?

Why would you need one made specifically for bass? My Korg CA-30 works great for both guitar and bass.

My band plays in dropped tunings. Most of our songs are a half step down, and then we do some in C#, G#, C#, F#. I've had problems with some tuners getting the lower tunings on bass but not often. But I wouldn't say there's really much need to have a bass specific tuner. I have definitely found that Korg tuners work better for me than Boss tuners do though!

Just play the harmonic on the 12th fret. works great

You don't need specific tuners, but the Boss floor pedal can be programmed to focus on reading bass.

Seriously, play the harmonic and it will work great.

My Korg pedal tuner doesn't seem to give a crap what you plug into it. Our guitarist uses one and I use one. I think you could plug a blender into that thing and it would tune it.

Sure it works great unless you are in the middle of a gig. I cant hear the harmonics when it is noisey myself. I need the visual of a tuner.

Uh, play the harmonic for the tuner. The 12th fret harmonic IS an exact octave of the open string unless your strings are bad. Because it's vibrating twice as fast, it's easier for the tuner

Korgs work well, even for a B string. I just bought another Korg Pitchjack (not Pitchblack). $9.99 on Amazon and got free shipping. I have one already and it works great! At $10, I figured I could afford another one so I can leave on in my gig bag and one plugged into the parallel out on my Sansamp BDDI.

That's what I've used for years with nice results.

There are a few cheapo guitar tuners that are little off in the bass department, but a good tuner rarely has any problems.

I use a Peterson strobe tuner at our rehearsal space. Dead-on accurate. At home I have a Boss TU-2 and a Korg rack tuner, both work great. (I have not gone below the low E on those.) Also I have a TU-8 tuner unit by Boss. It has been used with a 5-string bass with no problems. I use it to adjust intonation on all my gear.

I did. And then I bought it!
It easily tunes down my low B to A. Below that it won't work (but I guess you won't be needing lower than low A)
Very nice tuner! I highly recommend
