please excuse me if i gave off the wrong impression. i was responding to the idea of how doomsday-predictors deal with the "morning after." i did not mean to suggest that end-of-the-world predictions (and their failure to materialize) were representative of all christianity. i know that is not the case.

Predictions of the end of the world , is that a Christian thing ?

I'm not into religions , it's against mine ;) , but is there such things in Judaism , Islam , Hindouism etc..... ?

Yep, and it's all about the same too.
Christian, Judaism and Islam are all pretty much variations of the same thing anyway so their interpretations are similar too.

yeah, it was all fun and games till i read that new york times article, that was linked earlier, about the three teens who have to watch their parents hand out rapture flyers. those parents gave away their kids' college savings - repo man, much?

it does make me wonder about the psychology of those who call for the end of the world and those who are attracted to them.

Not for us polytheists.

Okay I don't really claim to be into polytheism because it is only lately starting to interest me,...and that is due to a general disdain for monotheism.

IOW,...I'm not incredibly prepared to discuss polytheism without knowing everything there is to know about it,....
