One thing I did notice was how the build up of thing gave some people a moment of pause. I'm not talking about the people who really paniced and went to extreames, but those who realised that yes, one day something world wide is going to happen and is my soul really prepared for when it does? Am I really doing as good as what I can and if not, how can I do better?

If that's "all" that happened then it did serve some good.
