It does not sound better. And I know that because I actually tried it a few times... I'm not afraid to experiment, it's how I test potentials. One cab sounded much better, was more focused AND as mentioned was capable of way more than I needed.

Sorry. While this is often true with conventional cabs, that ain't what I'm using. Not even close.

I'd put airbags all the way around on that puppy and slam it down at a gig........easier to load and unload the big rig, plus it would look cool too

FWIW, I get to play through SVT 8x10 cabs on a semi-regular basis, and they are wonderful things. It's like being carried along a river of rich, gooey bass, the consistency of caramel fresh from an oven. And when I'm finished playing through them, I take my bass and head and go home. It's an ideal arrangement.

They still look cool- I looked into having some modern bass cabs covered in the "tuck & roll" a few years back..... the price scared me!
