Are the big amps history?

It does not sound better. And I know that because I actually tried it a few times... I'm not afraid to experiment, it's how I test potentials. One cab sounded much better, was more focused AND as mentioned was capable of way more than I needed.

Sorry. While this is often true with conventional cabs, that ain't what I'm using. Not even close.

FWIW, I get to play through SVT 8x10 cabs on a semi-regular basis, and they are wonderful things. It's like being carried along a river of rich, gooey bass, the consistency of caramel fresh from an oven. And when I'm finished playing through them, I take my bass and head and go home. It's an ideal arrangement.

its a 3x15 its one louder than a 2x15....yes bass , treble and volume how perfect.
