I think you're right on with the model. July 1983.View attachment 5408180 View attachment 5408185 View attachment 5408186 View attachment 5408187 Hello all, I was wondering if anyone might help me out figuring out what my exact model is and the year it was made. I think it's the CSB380 model and the serial is 3070045.
1983, August, and yes, SB900.Hi
I think I have an SB900 here - I've had this bass for years after I picked it up in the early 90's 2nd hand and there wasn't much info. about it at the store. I've always assumed it was an SB900 looking around at various old Aria catalogues but I'm not 100% although it looks very similar, if not identical, to a picture of one posted earlier in this thread. Again not sure what year it is but the serial on the headstock rear is 3084458.
Thanks for any help

there are very few things better looking than an Aria in PR.
Looks to be a 1984 SB-1000, the first number usually indicates the year but the earlier 70's ones weren't like that from what I can tell.Trying to date this one and ID the model. I was told that only 4 were made, but that's not adding up for me. HELP PLEASE!
Thanks! The wife of the deceased owner claimed it was a rare design (4 made). I Kinda knew it wasn't that rare. I did notice that the battery light and the switch are located in different places from the models I've seen. She wants $2k for it. Seems like it's at least $800 more than I would entertain. The prices on Reverb all seem to be $1200 - $2300.Looks to be a 1984 SB-1000, the first number usually indicates the year but the earlier 70's ones weren't like that from what I can tell.
EDIT: Oh, the second post on the thread has that info, nice.
And there were a lot more than 4 made, where did you get that info?
Killer bass though! I have a 1984 as well.
