Arizona Bass Players

yea flojob I kinda figured I would need to travel a bit, but that's ok. Yep been to Sam Ashe like them better then GC. Sales people there were really cool and laid back, not like experiences I have had at GC. I also saw Bizarre guitar online too I may check them out. Been thinking about picking one up to expand my music prowess lol

Playing at Rogue Bar on Thursday with Patrolled by Radar and a couple others out of LA.

Been in AZ for the past 12 years. Some of the bands I've gigged with in PHX were Soulful Horizons, Tommy Grills - Night Shift, Spank, Different Breed, Mindy Harris Band, and Sonoran Swing. Relocated to Tucson end of last year; and having a bit of a tough time finding good cats to play with. Tucson seems a bit less going on. Anyhow, I have been working with the Dig Ups - gigging RJ's on Speedway and Magpie's on 4th. Also opened for Zoso at the Fox last April. We are back at RJ's on Friday the 13th coming up. LOL. Also working with another startup/retool called TecTonic, but no gigs yet.

Here are a few clips from the Fox show:

Question for Arizoners:

Anyone know anything about Gila Bend or have any comments? I know it's part of Maricopa County (Phoenix) but it pretty small and far flung...70 miles SW of Phoenix. Serious, hot desert.

Thinking of applying for a job there. Thoughts?

Dang. Well, thanks for the info. Kind of came to the same conclusion researching the area. I just have a great zeal to move back to AZ. My whole family does. But it's got to be the right situation. The Gila Bend job would have been for the Maricopa Co. Library System, which means if another job were to open up in PHX or nearby, I could have possibly transferred. As it is, my wife was not overly enthused about the prospect of moving to Gila Bend specifically, especially without knowing how long we might be there. *sigh*

SOMEday I'll get us back there!
