I've always been a sucker for some abstract impressionism. Last time I was nearby I went to the Tate Modern and saw this

by Max Ersnt. Apparently it's supposed to represent his ‘enchantment and terror’ of the woods near his childhood home. But it just made me think of the overbearing shadow of "society", and yes, I'm the little bird in the cage. Made me feel very emotional all of a sudden and I had to fight a little to keep it together. Bit embarrassing really cos there was a teacher nearby patiently explaining metaphors to her class full of 8 year-old students.

Just an update on some stuff posted earlier this year.
Here's a video interviewing 3 people with synesthesia.
One is my kiddo/bassist :)
From the 2 others featured, I discovered an artist that is simply incredible and some really cool web apps from a neuroscientist.
ImprovLive365 is the web series. Tons of cool stuff about all types of improvisation. They post a 3-4 min episode each day.

Eric Rosenbaum - Neuroscientist who created awesome apps/programs that seem to be a virtual type synesthesia.

Eric link isn't working for me. But, I am at work. Some links don't work too well here.

Here is a video for Kwesi. It's a cool animated short with great music. Very powerful.

A lot of cool stuff on here.

Every once in a while when I "transcend" on a great jam, I get small glimpses of synesthesia. I really need to figure out how to write/play music in a way that I can have that feeling all the time when I play.

Very cool that you can catch glimpses...wish I had it!! There's a theory called "Flow"

That may help on your journey....if you can figure it out and bottle it, you could make a fortune :)
