I think it is likely a tube, but I always do this before I check tubes because it's cheaper

Man, all this bum press about tubes...I wish someone would come up with an alternate form to replace this antiquated topology.
It's not for lack of trying, I'll tell you that much. But nobody can find anything that satisfies tube lovers as much as tubes, so they're still very much in the picture. Fortunately, new tubes seem to be getting better, both in tone and quality, so it's not all that dire using tubes.

Could you explain some more of this amps topology? I'd love to understand the structure and EQ a little bit more. I'm trying to love this amp, but it's not easy to dial a tone after years of using Ampegs active EQ....
Does anyone have the schematic of this little devil? Perhaps then we'd be able to be of more help.
I'd like to hear more as well. The only "split ECC83/82" I know of is the ECC832 that is half 12AX7/half 12AU7. US was the 12DW7/7247.

Obvious to me tubes ain't going away nor should they... Perhaps a kickstarter project to crowd fund a new tube plant in the good old USA ?

They said it will need to be couriered to their repair center with a description of the fault so they can take a look at it.
not sure how I feel about couriering it tho.
Demand a replacement if it's brand new... Don't even let them try to repair it, you have rights as a consumer if it's brand new and it was faulty out of the box, even within 90 days...

Sorry, yes I believe it's 12AU7 on the other side...another poster wrote something else so I assumed I was mis-remembering.
I Sent it back to be repaired (free of charge, since it is under warranty) it came back on Monday (after 4 weeks) and still had the same problem. I don't think the repair man actually did anything.
I emailed the store again and they sent me a new one, which I just got today, and some courier tickets to send the old one back to them. Not only does the new one work fine with no problems, But it seems to be quite a bit louder too.
