Ask a guy from New Jersey anything...

Because someone figured out how to make money off of people traveling through our state :)

And what's more - whoever laid out that whole thing was on acid. 295, 95, the turnpike, you'd think they were kinda sorta the same road and all that, or at least related... I cant count how many people I know who were coming up 95 from down south, passed through Delaware, PA, got into NJ, stayed on that road and ended up back in Delaware after an hour and half of driving...

Uh...+1...
I stopped at the same gas station we all stop at...the one where you think you are going to ask for directions but the instructions to get to I-95 North are posted on the gas pump along with a map so you don't ask the attendant the same question that 135 other people already did that day.

Yep, it's insane. Still for the life of me I can't figure out why the hell they laid it out like that.

That sounds like the Brighton Bar in Long Branch.

Tillie was on the wall of the Palace Amusements in Asbury Park. The Brighton Bar is on Brighton Ave. in West End. When I was a kid I thought Tillie was a creepy looking thing...still do.

Recently there was a huge fire that took out about half the block of the north side of Brighton Ave., east of Second Ave. I used to live on Second Ave opposite a bar that was then called 95 West.

Has anyone from Jersey been to any of the following places:

Quick Stop?
RST Video?
Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash?

I was in Jay and Silent Bob's last month.

For the last 5 years we've played in front of the Dublin House on Monmouth St. for the Red Bank Streetlife series. This year we're booked for two Streetlife gigs, one at the Dublin and the other at the train station at the end of Monmouth St.

It is just known as "95", or "I-95". It is not like "The 405" or "The PCH" or "The 101" that you Californians know and love.

"95" for the most part and it actually splits in NJ (the Turnpike is only "95" north of Exit 7A/I195) with much of it in Pennsylvania (also known there as the Delaware Expressway). That part of 95 enters NJ north of Trenton and ends at the intersection with US-1 where it become I295.

I295 runs pretty much parallel to the Turnpike south of NJTP-7A and they meet at the Del Mem bridge which is I295 into Delaware until it meets up with 95 (aka Deleware Turnpike) again.

And yes, it is possible to take I295 north from Delaware to where it becomes 95 and cross into PA and head back south into Deleware going through Philadelphia on the way.

I've spent way too much of my life on those damn roads.
