at what age do you become the "old man"

I'm working third shift right now and the guard who just started a couple weeks ago was outside having a smoke. We got to talking about christmas shopping. work related stuff, just coversation. He finished his smoke and I said alright, see you later and his response was......alright, take it easy, old man. that is the first time I have been called that. :bawl: I'm also being called sir more, and a fewe weeks ago I went thru the drivthru at mcdonalds and ordered a coffe off the dollar menu and when I got to the window the girl said...next time sir ask for a senior coffe cause its only 60 cents. :(:rollno::bawl:. I use to dye my hair now I dont so i have salt and pepper hair. I turned 47 this past October.

DAMMIT!!!

I'm five months older than you. So if you're 'the old man'...DAMMIT!!!

I'm 55 and glad to be alive. I have no trouble with the notion that my youth is in the past and I'm into my AARP pre-approved years.;) I just keep plugging along trying to make the best of where I'm at now in life and whatever time I may have left.

1. When the band-mates show up with instruments you've never seen or heard before, you don't know what they are, and frankly have no real interest in finding out or learning.

2. When the band-mates show up all talking about x, y, or z new band, song or sound and again, you don't have any awareness of or learning about it. And when you do, you recoil in horror.

3. When everything you look forward to hearing is in the rear-view mirror. Meaning, when what you look forward to musically is finding and hearing stuff from the past, rather than chomping at the bit for some new release(s).

o You only wears slip-on shoes
o Listen to talkback radio
o Must have prune juice every morning
o People ask what color your hair used to be
o You have more than 5 pairs of reading glasses and can't find any of them
o ......what was I saying..??
i'm 56 , and at least two of these apply to me ...:ninja:

You're definitely NOT an old man when you think none of the above will ever happen to you when you get older! :)
