You guys can continue your trolling if you like. I refuse to get dragged down into a petty argument with you guys.

Everyone else on this thread understands this situation, and understands my perspective. It's like we're all hanging out, drinking some beers, and I vent a little bit about getting a speeding ticket. Everyone else is like, "Yeah that sucks." Then you two jump up on your soap box and tell me to shut up, I deserve it, I'm a whiner, etc. And the rest of us just roll our eyes, drink some more beer, and tune you out.

Your venting on a public forum, about you public business, where people are free to exchange their view points and experiences.

What you say and do here is a reflection on your business.



I find it laughable that you're complaining about this, given the history of last years thread, and your attitude in that thread toward those who were clearly trying to help you avoid the pickle your in now.

It's all cool though guy.

I'm exactly like Bill Nash, except I don't sell retail (only custom order). I obtain the bodies and necks, finish them in nitro, do the electronics and hardware installation, assemble everything, then set neck relief, intonation, action, pickup height, etc.

It's something many of my customers could do if they had the interest or time. But they'd rather me do it for them.

Serious question.

Does anyone here know if Nash pays a licensing fee to Fender for the use of that headstock shape?

Clearly Mighty Mite and Warmouth do.

Does Nash have some kind of agreement with Fender?

Thanks for the clarification. I think I was confused because your website suggests you're a builder, while you're actually an assembler and finisher who doesn't actually build anything.

I for one would prefer that this thread does not get locked down.

How about this:
Dan feels like he got picked on and doesn't like it
Mongo and Savit warned Dan
Everybody has had their say
No one here has claimed to be a trial lawyer skilled in patent or copyright protection so we are all guessing why other builders have not been asked to stop building these parts basses (assuming they haven't been asked)

I suggest we stay with the topic of basses built by Dan and forget about staring arguements

For any that don't agree, please don't mess this up for the rest of us
