Tuki has padded covers for the TC112 as well. Just an fyi.

I have a horizontal "window pane" style brace that spans all vertical sides located at the junction between horn and woofer, and that stiffens all the vertical panels. There is also a brace in between the port cut-outs because that's a weakened area. The top of the cab is stiffened by the handle inset, and the bottom of the cab by one of the boards I screw the crossover board onto (though its location isn't optimal for panel stiffening). But feel free to knuckle-rap and stiffen any areas you think might benefit.

LeCover, Tuki, and Studio Slips are the three cover makers I've heard of who have the Thunderchild dimensions in their databases.

You can come over and check my Tots Torin, they're made of italian poplar and I see absolutely nothing wrong with them......are you still looking for cabs? Isn't that Nidacore cab working out for you?

Everything is just fine Louise. I'm not looking for cabs.

As I posted earlier:

Now the final piece for me is the 12/6. Of course being a weight weenie I want to go light as possible and read on the fEARful forum that you were using Italian Popular. I know that wood is incredibly light but it looks like you are finding success with it, so I will probably go with that and add extra bracing just to be safe. I dont mind if it gets dinged up a bit, to me the weight savings are paramount.

I currently own Passinwind's old 12/6 that I acquired in a trade. Beautiful cab but super heavy duty at 62LBS. I am going to build a new box for it and just swap the components over.

I would doubt it, given demand in the US, and also that, from what I understand, Eminence will eliminate neo drivers from their product line at least for a while.

Not sure if this cab will remain on the market for much longer (i.e., after Duke's supply of Eminence Neo's is gone).

I could be wrong here, but everything I've read indicates Eminence will no longer be in the neo driver business (again, at least for a while).

Duke did install home stereo connectors for me but I haven't tried them out for that application as of yet - I definitely plan to do so, and I'll try the toe-in that Duke suggested if they're too bright. I took them immediately to our practice space because I couldn't wait to try them out with my bass. We do plan to try them out as PA cabs for a smaller venue. Stay tuned for further reports...

I'm interested in one of these. (Gonna be a little bit before I have enough dough saved up, though...)

I'm wondering about the difference between the 15 and 12 versions, tone-wise. Duke, Ken, somebody, can you clue me..?

I was the one who provided Tuki with the measurements. I didn't describe it as a "Premium AudioKinesis Cab" (though it certainly is) :)

Hey, Duke.

Can you give us an update on what stage of R&D or testing the TC115 is at? Any recent developments you can share?

P.S. Take your sweet time as I'm sure we'll all benefit from the final product. :bassist:

I got a new job for the thunderchild.

I'm now the guitarist in a jazz big band, cuz they were relatively desperate. My guitar equipment sucks. :o Before I have a chance to upgrade in a few months, I'm using a fender strat w/ flats thru an old fender champion 30watt. Which sounds decent, but I'm not sure works very well at a high volume anymore. So... I'm gonna run my ART tube channel thru my crown poweramp, into the thunderchild. Compression and generous EQ thru those preamp tubes with the rolloff switch.... works pretty good, I already tried it at home. But the real test will be in the big band setting. Wish me luck. :D Aside from upgrading my equipment I'm having to brush up on guitar, and I'm studying jazz guitar chords/voicings pretty hardcore right now.
