Great write up, Tom. Thank you for that. I'm still happy with my TC118.
I'm curious - throughout your testing, what was your listening position?
Sweet. I know Duke has his designs especially for people on tight stages and such. I've never had much issue with hearing my TC118, even when standing in weird places, and it seems like the cabs you had on hand were similar.
That was my conclusion Marial. The 1203 does a fantastic job with the low B, but the Tc112 even better. The two of the together should have growl and grind and clean wide bottom. Tone heaven.Wonderful write-up!
Edited to add, now that I can: the review, while it didn't include a TH500 or a Mesa D800, seems to confirm my thinking that a 1203 will be my next order from Duke if I ever return to gigging and need a second cab. Seems like a 1203/TC112 combo will completely cover my preferred sonic range, deliver all the volume I'll ever need, and remain compact and portable.
Agreed! That was my conclusion Marial. The 1203 does a fantastic job with the low B, but the Tc112 even better. The two of the together should have growl and grind and clean wide bottom. Tone heaven.

Very sweet setup! And your bass looks AWESOME. Very very high end setup, you must be in tone heaven!![]()

We are so fortunate as bass players today with all of the excellent choices available to us. So many great boutique companies and there is definitely more focus on our needs.
I remember many years ago you were lucky to find a few basses in a music store. And as for effects, forget it. We were forced to use guitar effects. It truly is a great time to be a bass player.![]()
agreed, it's a golden age.
