AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

Birdhaus 48 has shipped. Due in on Wednesday . I love the B46 cab.
4pm: go on at 8, be there at 7.
7pm: running a little late. No problem, the other band is going first. We go on at 9.
10:30: 2 pitchers later, other band stops.
11:00: guitar player announces "we're ready but I need to slip into something a little more comfortable."
Did I mention the white light directly..in..my...face whenever I stepped to the mic. The mic that wasn't on until after the first chorus.
This is pretty much a metaphor of my life. Dingwall>minimega>1203's sounded pretty sweet, though.

Hello. So, I'm assuming you're still lovin' your 1505? Damn, how I want one, but already own a couple of 1203s I really dig. I got my perfect covers from studioslips.com, but don't know if they have 1505 on file.
I got my 1203 covers the as well as some covers for my turbosound stuff they were perfect fits
I was kind of hoping you'd talk up that 1505 a little now that you've had it for quite a while. I need something to push me over the edge...
Birdhouse Gig report.
Played the Birdhouse 6 inch with the upright straight into a Phil Jones D400, and people loved the sound including myself. Clear and warm, and more then enough sound to cover about 100 seat upscale restaurant. The band loved it the most to be able to hear me despite a small stage and they felt it help the entire band's time. I think Duke has an order coming from Colorado of a friend who was very impressed with it and said he needed to get one himself.
At home when I tested the rig before the gig, I couldn't tell if the amp was own because it sounds just like my unplugged upright.
Only played it with the electric an home, and it took some getting used to the sound coming from multiple directions. Made me want to get the 4x8 for my electric gigs as I think hearing the bass mades the unit play better particularly in improvisational music of that setting.

Oh believe me I still love it! I marvel every day at its versatility, simplicity and efficiency. Versatile with the wide range of switch voicings, simple because they all sound great, efficient because 1 cab truly gets it done: That great Hathor tone with serious volume and authority, at only 11 lb more than a single 1203. What's not to love?!?
