AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

Now that I'm in NYC I feel that the TC112v3AF is bigger than I need. Anyone have a suggestion for a smaller AK cab that can handle a low B string and works great with acoustic bass guitar and upright? I was tempted to get a small 110 Bag End, but I'm addicted to Duke's cab now. Thanks all!
I find it works better than a tweeter for pretty much everything unless you want to sound like Marcus.
Cool, may sell my newest version TC112v3AF if anyone is interested. Won't ship. No box and no car. I'm in NYC. Would trade for an H1203.

@emjazz, I can't comment on the Hathor 1203 vs. the unreleased 10" cab that Duke's developing, but since you play an acoustic bass guitar you might be interested in the "Changeling" (the variation on the Hathor with the additional, 3" mid/high driver on the back -- some posts about it a little while back). Same size as the Hathor 1203, I believe.
Not the kind of music I would normally listen to, but that bass tone and playing had me hooked!
I thought of that, but it costs more and is heavier. I do think the Changeling would be perfect sound wise, but more weight is the wrong direction. Will see what Duke has to say. I sent him a pm for his thoughts.

Another room with diff sonic characteristics. A room I know and like.
In my experience so far with the cab, I've determined that when playing 5 string I'll pull all 3 port plugs and use the "Grind ON" switch. The "rear mid switch" depends on the band setup; "treble" switch depends on the room. When playing 4 bangers I'll start with the ports plugged.
One thing I've been planning to test with the new cab is my passive jazz 5er Lakland 55-60 in a room where I'm familiar with the sound. (I've been trying to decide whether to sell the 55-AJ or the 55-60 to get to 2 5ers.) So Saturday I did that and I was jumping with joy at the sound; hot damn! There was a guy sitting on a bar stool that was totally digging the bass on a couple of bass-prominent tunes we do; just grinnin' and groovin' and watching me. Gig was two long sets. On second set I played my main player Lakland 55-02 active jazz, and as much as that is my main bass, I found myself trying to dial in the passive jazz tone from the first set. (Note: on the passive 55-60 I installed and grounded full copper shielding in all cavities which has reduced that typical passive jazz noise to not much; this gig was the 2nd time out since then; 1st time with AK.)
So, great sound from the cab. Again! One thing: on the third gig (playing fretless) I plugged all 3 ports and noticed on the 1st break they had fallen out. Three horns, piano, guitar, drums and fretless; a little loud; maybe they vibrated out.
Outdoor and large barn gigs coming up where I'll run the AK and Fearless F112 in parallel. Can't wait to hear that.

Well, I have sold my markbass lm3 and purchased this fender bassman 500. Loving the Fender.
Which of course has caused a whole new problem - it doesn't sit on top of my tc112 too well!
So I'm wondering what negative effects, if any, something like this might have. And/or if rotating the horns 90deg would make any sort of difference.
