yes, so true. H1203 is tailor made to hold a D800. an H1505 will be perfect for the D800+!

The tuki does as well and is a perfect snug fit too. I made sure of that when I supplied them the measurements for the template. The quality of the padded cover is excellent and the price is very reasonable too. Great people to work with. Highly recommended.

I see you've been reading my mind again. Just don't post anything too compromising that you happen to stumble across...

I'm doing the back-and-forth mull between 12 x 11.5" footprint and 14 x 10" footprint (in both cases not counting grille pooch-outage)... the former is a bit more efficient use of resources, but the latter would be more likely to fit into the trunk of a small car. I recall seeing at least one compact-car-cab thread recently where in effect the cab had to be able to squeeze through an 11" high window in order to fit into the car's trunk.

I can barely fit my hathor and thunder child in my car so space is always an issue

Here's a totally unscientific sloppy comparison between the TC112v3 and a Barefaced Super Midget. FWIW. If I had a little more time I'd have been more precise with mic placement, but whatevs. I have to say, the Super Midget's form factor is phenomenal. It is so light, and so loud for being 8 ohms. I *think* I had the TC in the non-4 ohm switch position, so it's not 8 ohms, but it's not truly 4 either.

I'm undecided as to which sounds better. I think it's a toss up, really. I hope to spend more time comparing before I have to return the Barefaced. I'd like to just noodle with them both.

By my ears (with decent headphones) the AK has more clarity & the Bf sounds just a tiny bit thicker.
You could probably EQ the AK to sound more like the Bf, but probably not the other way around.
Of course, this is just dealing with the given frequency range of the samples.

The Super Midget is maybe more compressed sounding? I think that's what I'm hearing and that equates to less clarity?

Interesting! A couple questions...
Have you played them at very loud volumes? Does one of them seems to run out of volume sooner than the other?
Any comments on which one seems to be more sensitive (louder with the same amp settings)?
And how does the low end compare?
I guess the Super Midget's top end would be more similar to the Hathor 1203's, wouldn't it?

Sorry for the questions, I'm debating on which 1x12" cab to get for small gigs and rehearsals...thanks.
