I'd vote for the circular grill also. It gives the cab a more "grass roots", functional look. Folks look at it thinking it's something I pieced together until I play. Then bam! The tone gets them every time.
...And I'm sure homemade isn't too far from the truth.
I didn't mean to open up a can of worms! That cab was built as a one-off---I gave Chris the choice of what type of grill.
I like the look of the Thunderchild cabs. I think that their look sets them apart.

Another thing I really liked was those square side handles. Very comfortable on the hands.![]()
Funny, first time I gigged my Thunderchild 115, the band also told me never to bring a different cab.
