AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I can't wait to hear the rundown on the Hathor 1855 after the Seattle get-together.
I decided to go with the TC115-8 since I tried it and believe it will work well for me. If I could have tried all the different cabs (especially that 18) I may have found one that worked better (or not) but that was not an option for me. I love the tone of an 810 but there's no way I could lug one around. It's hard to pass up on a cab that sounds this good and only weighs 36 lbs.

I'll take some on Sunday at the Seattle GTG, along with whatever else Duke brings. Last I heard that would be TC118, TC112, and a couple of the Hathors.

There are several possible futures out there, one of which involves me making a lot of money, and if that happens, then I might be in a position to do something like that.
But, don't hold your breath.
In the meantime, part of the madness behind the method of the Hathor 1203 is, it's not as expensive to ship as my previous cabs.
Yup, and if all goes well, I'll be bringing a couple of experimental cabs too.
I can do that tomorrow unless Duke wants to show off the production model instead.

The production model isn't ready for me to photograph yet, and probably won't be for at least another day or so. A coat of Duratex is drying as I type this.

Imo the way I do it (double-thick front baffle with recessed drivers and round grill thing-a-ma-bob) is arguably slightly superior, and I've never had a complaint of grill rattle on any cab I've sold, but must admit the rectangular full-baffle grille looks better.
It is strictly an aesthetic choice but a full panel grill looks more proper and less home made for the back of the pickup truck.
Dayam'!!!!!!! Now I gotta have one!!!!!! That beast is downright drop dead sexy. Yes, the full length cover looks bad @@@. On the flip side, the circular waffle cover is cool too. I like or when you stroll in with dukes cabs.....when people see that big horn and waffle cover they immediately think radio shack pos or homemade pos. Then when you crank it, and it's nothing but sweet bass tone people be like dayam.....what the heck is that thing!!! I like the underdog sleeper look of the original cabs. It adds to the mystique.
+1 to what g4string said. The full-baffle looks really great. But I kind of like the circular grills on the original TC cabs. Looks have always been secondary to me concerning cabs. The sound and more recently size and weight are the most important factors. But the no-logo generic-looking pa mystery cab vibe of my TC115 generates so many questions and comments from everyone. It also helps that it sounds so good.
