Duke, are you having to attenuate the 18 for use with the 3's. I am just curious, since on paper their sensitivities are not equal. I know the 1863 sounds even.
Is the keyboard issue due to the synthesized tones having equal voltage output at all freqs as apposed to Bass/guitar/recorded music having variable/diminished voltage in the high end due to instrument range.
Keyboards probably do have reduced output as we go up in frequency, but not nearly as much as electric bass. And keyboards can have sustained high-frequency energy that results in heat building up in small voice coils faster than it can be dissipated, so imo we need to start out with pretty good power handling in our high frequency section if keys are on the menu.
Are the Hi Freq drivers protected in any way? Just incase..
I NEVER run keys thru my rig .. It is me( bass only)
