AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I have a similar look when I bring my upright, Rumble 40, folding stool and my portfolio case that carries my music stand, fake book and other accessories. I can single trip it, but it’s not very comfortable…especially on stairs.
I can one trip my electric gigs a little easier; gig bag for my Jazz, small mixer bag with my GK MB500F, and my C112 in a studio slips bag that I have a shoulder strap attached to. If I used any pedals, I guess they would have to fit in my coat pocket.

The nice part is that it's not all that heavy, but I definitely look like a pack mule and it all appears to be heavy, so people tend to be more likely to grab the door for me on my way in and/or offer to help me.
Which of the BF cabs would you say is closer to the H1203? Asking for a friend.

I had a BBII, ST and Two10. All good cabs but I greatly preferred the character of the AK’s. There was something (a couple of things really) about each of the BF cabs that left me a bit wanting. I don’t feel that with the AK’s.
Hmmm. I would have guessed you’d say the super compact. I’d much prefer a third AK also. Right now I have the best live sound I’ve ever had: Mesa Subway 800, 1203T mostly, with C112 alone or paired. I want for nothing except another cab. Though the AK wait time concerns me, I mean, concerns my friend.

SC is a fine cab too. Haven’t owned one but played through one. If I was to go out and get another BF cab, it’s be the new BBIII or whatever it’s called. Have it on the bottom for the wide FRFR business and put a H1203 on top sideways for the character and extra chewy mids.
I did that with my old BBII and it sounded pretty good.
The Super Compact does not have a mid or tweeter so the Super Midget is closer to the H1203. None of them have the mids of an AK cab though. BUT on the low end, the Super Compact is indeed closer to the AK cabs. The AK cabs are actually easier to move around as well because of the handle design.
So how do I know all this? I currently have:
AK H1203
AK C1203T
BF Super Midget
BF Super Compact
I am still waiting on my H1506 but had also considered picking up a BF cab. Of the cabs you own which have the tightest lows? And if you play 5 strings which handle your B string the best?
C1203T for sure because of the configurable port plugs. It can be as tight or deep as you want. All of them handle the B string without problems but the Super Compact and the C1203t Handle it with more authority because they are bigger.
A rare opportunity to use both.

You just put the headliners rig to shame. Plus yours weighs 200 pounds less.
It's definitely lighter but no rig shaming here. I wouldn't want to carry it but the Eden is a perfectly serviceable rig. A little combo would have been fine, barely needed anything out my gear with all the bass in the various monitors and subs. The guy in the pic was running through a noble preamp into my amp. It sounded like a bass.
I have the Birdhouse 48 on its way! My first AK cab. I've wanted to try any AK cab for a while now. The 48 was an impulse buy because it seems so damn cool.
Looking forward to hearing your impressions; my B48 has suited me very well.
Has anyone tried any of the hybrid tube amps like the Milkman Half and Half or Handbox R400 with the Hathor 1203?
I'm thinking about a new head purchase at the beginning of the year to go with my pair of 1203's. I've generally been running a Two Notes Le Bass in front of my old Genz Shuttle for a little more grit, but I'd really like to do away with bringing my board when I'm also hauling my amp. I tried a Tone Hammer head a while back and it was OK, but not quite what I was looking for.
An old Genz Streamliner might be the ticket, but those are tricky to find and I'm not positive about those either.
The Mesa TT-800 and WD-800 are two other amps that I'd be interested in checking out.
I'm going for the PBass with flats, B-15ish kind of sound, with a little top end grit and presence.

I have the tt800 and wd800 from mesa.
The wd800 is worth checking out to get that sound. Run it on the 2 ohm setting. I know that sounds wrong but it safely works.
Was just doing this last night.
Where are you putting the head? Isn't it significantly longer than the top of the 1203? I thought about that one as well, but I'd probably end up knocking it off of the speakers and breaking it...
