Its longer use I have it in a Gator soft rack case, and I set it back so the top ports are not covered, its stable.

on a D-800 it limits pwr output to 600 watts.
edit: i should have added: if you're running a 4 ohm setup.

When running 8 ohm @2ohm setting it cuts the watts to 300.
The result adds in a perceived tube sag. If that's the right word.
Hopefully one of the more knowledgeable folks on here can explain it.
I have a new-to-me Hathor 212 which so far I love. I have one problem/question about it. I started recently noticing a distortion/fuzz kind of sound that happens on a high E (G string, 21st fret). To a lesser extent it happens on the E an octave lower (G 9th fret). I swapped out amp, speaker, bass, cables, and it seems consistently to be coming from the Hathor.
The distortion happens no matter what the overall volume, or the master/preamp volume settings on the amp. It does not happen if I hit the note VERY lightly. I can't tell where on the cabinet it might be coming from. I've held down every piece, and it does not stop it. Flipping the mid and high switches does not affect it.
Any ideas?

This cab is so awesome!! No shortage on tone or low end. Handles a B like a champ. I pulled both rear plugs and it started blowing things off my peg board. What a fantastic design. I get to try it at rehearsal tonight. I'm sure it will do great.
There needs to be more birdhouse designs. What a winner. It's about the size of a computer tower and not heavy. Can you imagine a slightly larger 4x12 birdhouse? What do you think that idea @DukeLeJeune?

Yeesh. I was typing out this long excuse about why I discontinued the Birdhaus cabs and why I can't bring them back but you guys are working against me here, and faster than I can type.
How about this: I really gotta get caught up before adding anything else to my current lineup, and no promises just yet, except that I'll take another look at doing them again.

Let us know what happens with it at rehearsal; when I first tried mine with the band (after using a 1 x 15 combo amp for a long time) I couldn’t get over how my bass sounded about the same from anywhere in the room, including looking down at the cabinet from above. Very even distribution of all the frequencies I need to hear.
And yes, running open ports does make things vibrate to the edge of the shelf behind where I set up!

The one-off Birdhaus 415 used an Eminence "Basslite" woofer that has been discontinued, but it doesn't really matter anyway because I'll never be able to assemble cabinets that large and heavy again. In fact I don't even do 2x12 cabinets anymore because they are too difficult for me.
