My nearest (and only) neighbour is 500 meters away from my basement/laundry room/band practice room, but when I do my 15/6 comparison next week I'll give him notice so he can go skiing that afternoon.

I have an SB112, and it made it to my rig and out the other side really quickly. I could never pair it with anything that the SB112 didn't 'hold back'. By that I mean the Avatar would distort and reach its maximum volume well before any of the other cabs did. It acts as an end table in our practice room.

Pairing cabs that were meant to be paired is always your best bet, IMO.
I'd recommend looking at the other hartke stuff.
If it's a hydrive 115, the hydrive 410 is a good choice.

...so my idea of pairing this cab with a B210 NEO is not a good idea? I was looking to have both cabs in 8 ohms, so I had the flexibility to use as stand alone for small situations with PA support, or pair them for larger rooms without PA support.

Never know until you try, but on paper not a great pair. Prolly better to run a single TB153 with 500 watts, since if you push them together the 210 will distort before the 153 is breathing hard, and if you won't be pushing both cabs hard, the 153 alone will give enough volume and the 210 will just be a heavy stand.

I'm actually still in beautiful upstate NY this am.....enjoying a very powdery white landscape by the fire........wondering how early I can justify a glass of Cognac, and waiting for my teenage kids to wake so I can start thumping!

I use metric all the time, since the US is virtually the last nation on this crazy flying rock to still use British units
My water freezes at 0 and boils at 100, with a thousand meters in ever Km. Don't ask me how many cups to a quart....the only US measure I understand is.......

Tha'll work, but prolly won't be louder than the 15/6 with 500 watts into it. Your call. Maybe wait for more guinea pigs to try the 153? As I've said, after I try it, either my LDS or the Avatar is likely to be FS.

I'm running an ampeg svt-7 pro into it. 1000w @ 4ohm. Really, really loud. Gain at noon and master at 10 o'clock = whole room shaking. Cab holds up just fine. Just wouldn't crank it.

Diaper geni...a Genz Benz Shuttlemax 6 into this Avatar will really let the tone of your bass shine thru. Incredibly transparent combination. Each basses inherent tone is uniquely amplified.

He'll sell a million of them if he does, and the 12 he has existing has room for it with ease. I actually got a hold of him and recommended he do that first since the market is way bigger for those IMHO, but no such luck

I'd buy a 4 ohm 12/6 without thinking about it. Would easily do any gig I play just about.
