I have no doubt you're right, Lomo. Until I get enough ambition to try out the fEarful plans, I've a feeling I'll be very happy with the Avatar. (Cute dog! Elkhound mix?)

My late, great, long-haired Akita, Sambuka. She weighed 125 lbs, more than my wife.....as it should be......IMHO of course!

Stll an unbeatable deal IMO. Don't know thw xover details other than the 800Hz xover point.

Those of you who have had the cab for awhile now, how's the schlepp factor? The price is very tempting, but 63 lbs seems a bit much for these types of cabs. BTW, if nobody has posted this, they are sold out of 4 ohm versions till the end of this month.

The haul factor sucks compared to my 48lb LDS, but compared to a 410 it's pretty good. The handles are well-placed and I have a collapsible hand truck (50 bucks).

I'd pay double for an ultra-light (sub 50lb) version of this......happily.

Big plus right there. For bass guitar content an attenuator is no big deal way up in tweeter land, but it'll really drag down an otherwise decent crossover design to have it in the all-important mid range. Designing the padding right into the crossover from the git go is the way to go, and it shows that some time was put into getting it right.

If I had to guess I doubt there is much padding on the OEM mid that they're using. No one's posted any snaps of the Xover yet though.

IIRC, the OEM CBMR mid that they use is rated around 98db or so, maybe 99? Bill would know for sure.
