Avatar Owner's Club - part 3

I currently use a Neo 212 as my primary. If I need a second cab, I have a B410 and a B210. So for the badass look and huge mega sound I use the 410 and 212 stacked together. But after using the B212 for a few years now as my main cab, I would much prefer to have a second B212 and ditch the 410. The tone is better overall. Better bass response from the 12's. And the neo B212 is quite a bit less weight than my ceramic B410, so it saves my back as well. I've been touring with just the 2x12. But if I were to resume touring with 2 cabs, I would buy a second B212 and leave the 4x10 home.

Greetings programs,
I just got my (used) Avatar 4x10 from a seller here on TB and I don't think I could be happier. Paired with my Shuttle 9.0, it is simply thunderous. Of course it will take a moment to get used to it but I'm certainly impressed. I can't wait to get it into a band situation.

If you guys are still doing numbers, I'd be proud to have one.

Be good,
Dan

Hey folks, I'm up in Edmonton, Alberta. Anyone around here with some avatar bass cabs I could listen to? Message me! Thanks.
A couple of years ago I recorded some clips for Avatar. (The are right down the street from me). They should still be on their website.I played the same bass, same amp, same tone settings, same basslines... all we did is swap out cabinets, so people can compare the sound character of the different cabinets. Not as good as actually trying it out yourself but it should give you a general idea...

couldn't find the link.

I ran my B212 with my svt7 at a couple of gigs this weekend. Absolute love - Usually have the pro neo 410 cab and it has incredible bottom - but the 212 with svt7 kicks. Punchy and tight and handles the B string no problem. I was using Spector Legend 5 String - I was a happy camper. Playing 70s/80s rock.
