A quick note of appreciation for Dave's customer service. I bought a pair of SB112s from Avatar last December. One developed a faulty input section--the 1/4-inch inputs were intermittent, possibly from cold solder joints, and the jack plate buzzed fiercely on certain notes even though all screws were tight. I alerted Dave by e-mail and he blasted out a new jack plate/crossover assembly to me the same day by FedEx. It arrived two days later and after installing it, all is golden. Stuff happens no matter what the brand, and it's outstanding customer service like Dave's that makes a great company. THANKS DAVE.

I have been joining clubs left and right lately. I was in tha Yamah club for a while. But just recently I have joined the GK club and the Modulus Mob. I might as well be in the Avatar club as well. Here is my B212 NEO 4ohm with its good friend the trusty GK 400RB.

An Avatar B410NEO-4 in orange tolex, left Idaho for me last Friday. :hyper:
Wonder now about my colour choice, rather than the usual black, black, black... may have ordered the orange during a flash-back moment... :hmm:

After reading about vertical stacking and thinking about flexibility, I called first thing Monday to change my order to a pair of B210NEO-8s, in black. Too late, Dave and crew were so efficient the cab had already left the building when ordered Friday!

The head is a new TC BH500 (4 ohm) just purchased from a fellow TBer, 4 ohm cab to get the most from it: on a familyman bass player budget, and from what I read about the B410, it'll be great for the venues I'd play - out door gig through the PA from my Bassbone.

Must say I enjoyed placing my order with Dave, liked his person-ability. The recent neodymium market change was definitely on his mind, so I felt I bought at the right time, especially with my dollar at 1.03 right now.

From your experience folks, 410 the good choice?

FIRST LINE-X TB153? I received the 4 ohm TB153 in LINE-X this Friday. I have yet to bring it to a gig, but so far I am VERY impressed! I REALLY like the LINE-X coating! It's very professional looking and professionally done. This cab is virtually idiot indestructible! I quickly A/B'd it next to my favorite cab of 3 years now, the Bergantino AE410. The AE410 is the most precise, clear, articulate cab I have owned to date. I've been through ALOT of gear in the past 3 years, but I'd have to say, the Avatar actually sounds like a blanket, a thin blanket, has been lifted compared to the Berg. That's saying ALOT, as I'm an AVID Berg fan! The TB153 is very clear and super smooth. This is all at home, once I get the TB153 on a gig(2 next week), then we'll really see how it compares. The BERG is a tough one to beat, in my book anyways. Here's a pic of the new setup.. Avatar TB153, Shuttle 9.0, 2010 Fender AM Jazz DLX V.
