Newbie question... What's the advantage of having the mids together like that vs both at the top of each cab?
If they were spread farther apart, would they not disperse better? Or is it a "coupling effect" thing?
Keeping the drivers close together, and preferably in vertical alignment, minimizes interference problems, such as phase cancellation. It presents a clearer, more coherent signal that disperses more evenly.
