I play the SB112 in a 10 piece horn band, with PA support, and it is a great stage monitor! For that matter, so is the 210. I have not used them together.

I just received my SB126 4ohm and I love it. I play in a 5 piece band with PA support and it does make a great stage monitor. It sounds great and is a great deal!

If I were you , I'd go with the Kappalite 3012LFs or the original Delta 12LFAs. They'll have lower bottom and won't slam the pole pieces as easily, which is not a pleasant effect, and can lead to speaker failure. After trying one I wouldn't recommend the Deltalite for any more than 100w 4 string fretless or a bull bass (standup) playing jazz. Nothing with high power detuned to an A.

I'm just about to biamp my 126s and put JBL 2406Hs in them and remove my Delta 12LFAs. I bought an ART SLA-4 - 4 channel 1ru amp that I'll run in bridged mono for 280 w/ ch into 8 ohms for the 6s and horns. I have 650 /side at 8 ohms for the 12s. I'm also adding some subwoofers for the bottom octave. Should really rock out the synth bass from the Future Impact, H9s, and the Helix.

I play a Variax 705 5 string almost exclusively.

Probably start on that today or this weekend. I'll likely be looking to sell the crossovers I built. They also allow a slight improvement in the low end with the 13Ga coils.

sorry for the necro question, but are you referring to the Avatar Deltalites when you say you'd recommend the Kappalites or Delta LFs over them?

also, which 2-way crossover freq would you go for - 1.6k or 2.5k - for a B2126 (2 x 12" woofers, 1 x 6.5" mid)?

Yes, I was referring to the Deltalites, which are made by Eminence as are the Kappalites and Delta LFAs.

The Delta LFAs have a spike at around 2.5K so I crossed them lower when I was using them. The Deltalites and Kappalites I might cross higher, not sure without trying it. I rejected the Deltalites before ever getting to the point of deciding on a high cut crossover.

Sorry, i should have been more specific in my question, i meant were you referring to off the shelf DeltaliteII 2512's or the custom ones (w/ extended Xmax) that Avatar carries?

i planned on buying a pair of the Avatar Deltalites (4ohm versions wired in series for 8ohm load) to put into a used B2126 i just picked up and was trying to decide if Avatar's 2.5K crossover of Eminence's 1.6K crossover would be a better match (the crossover in there now is for a 4ohm load. crossover frequency unknown) with the single 6.5" mid. FWIW, i'm looking for the most flat/even/neutral response from bottom to to top.

i was going to be using a pair of Avatar Deltalites and a 500W solid state amp, with a 5-string bass tuned to D standard, clean and heavily overdriven tones.
with that in mind, do you think a pair of the Deltalite's would be able to support that kind of regular usage (wired in series for 8ohm load in a B2126) or would you still recommend a pair of Delta LF's or Kappalites over those?

also, slight tangent question for anyone: what's the difference between the Delta-12LFA's and Delta-12LFC's?

Not sure I can say what will work best for you. I'd be interested in trying the Kappas, but never did. I play a Variax 5 string bass through a Helix and am running about 3000W@8Ω tri-amped, so our specs are quite different.

As it is, I eventually ended up with JBL 2206Hs in my cabs, mostly because I already had them (leftovers from PA speaker building days), they're very smooth in upper response, and tight on bottom, I also have subs and also use these speakers in PA use.

Main difference in the LFA and LFC is the impedance, the C is 4Ω, the A is 8Ω. The VC former is also a different material, and the compliance is a bit different. Eminence recommends a little larger box for the C.

has anyone had a chance to compare the 1.6k and 2.5k 2-way crossovers in a SB126 loaded w/ an 8-ohm Avatar/OEM Deltalite II Neo?
if so, which crossover point would you recommend for that driver and why?

FWIW, i'll be using a 5-string bass tuned to D-standard along with some parallel signal processing that is an octave up and distorted (aka "fake distorted guitar").
