if my son wanted to stay over at a chicks house who was fine as that, id let him lol. but id have a talk with him, about stuff. iv had my tree choped down by my parents many times lol its not cool. but id still make sure the parents are there, make sure n o wild parties are going on.
now, if my daughter wanted to go go 2 hours away for 5 days to sleep at a dudes house, hell no
if my daughter wanted to bring a boy over for 5 days, hell no.
call it a double standard if youd like, but thats just the way i am. because, as much as i trust my daughter, i dont trust that guy
edit: im 20, if that matters

Hey, man, I'm a youth worker at my church; I spend most of my free time hanging out with middle school and highschool guys. If one of the freshmen/sophomore guys asked me my opinion on a situation like this, I'd smack him on the back of the head and call him an idiot (not really). How can you possibly think this is a good idea? Regardless of whether or not anything happens, it's inappropriate for you to spend a week at a girl's house. You're getting too close to the line; we're supposed to flee from situations that could get us into trouble, not dive headlong into them. Don't flirt with temptation.
Talk to your youth pastor or favorite youth worker about it. They'll hopefully be able to expand on what I'm talking about.
oh yeah, and like others have said, going to Christian camp doesn't necessarily mean much... and I'll just leave it at that... :scowl:
i really dont agree with any of that. lets take into account that these kids, are actually just friends, with no sexual intensions. then staying over a friends house and hanging out like this, will make a really nice friendship with a really big bond for a really long time.
now, i have a friend, with a very strict mother, so she isnt allowed outside EVER, aside from school and walking the dog. shes barely has friends, and has no real bond with anybody.
i have another friend who has very liberal parents and because of that has a lot of friends with a lot of strong bonds with a large variety of people.
this may be straying away from the point and be at the extrems but its something to take into consideration. at this age, people are very impressionable and these are the years that they start to develope socialy and this may effect how they treat their kids in the future
