A friend of mine has had a can of this sitting on top of his fridge for months and I'm super curious about it.

Any good?

If you like SpaghettiOs and/or Froot Loops you might find it tolerable. But it needs to age for more than a few months.

For me it's Cocoa Krispies. I never buy them because when I do, they vanish in one spasm of gluttony as soon as I get home. Cannot stop until gone. Literally. Even dry with no milk.

Our Kroger has the raisin variety. I may give it a go. What's the worst that could happen?

absolutely nuthin'! the raisin version is better/sweeter, IMO.

Saturday evening staple when I was growing up. The raisin variety for sure. We graduated to home made, baked in a can eventually. We didn't toast, we sautéed and yes butter, lot's of butter.

Oh…I make killer baked beans…I'm that guy at family GTG's. Cook them real slow for 24 hours or so…
