It was signed by Eric Gales. Original owner must've been a fan as he's an awesome guitarist. Im a fan too so its a win win for me...
This. I have family with the surname Bacchus and that is how they pronounce it.
Just delivered this cool Bacchus Craft Series Woodline five string. Alder body with Maple fretboard. Love it. This is my second Bacchus, love Japanese made basses. I also have a gorgeous Crews Maniac Sound five string fretless I had shipped over from Tokyo.
This new Bacchus sounds and plays great out of the box. But planning to drop in an Audere preamp tonight. Then it will really kick!

Is the switch definitely three way? My guess would have been volume, blend, stacked treble and bass, and the switch being on/off for the preamp. If it's three way then I have no idea! Would have to figure out what the preamp is.
Also, this is currently on its way to me from Japan
I'm slightly annoyed because one of the incredible looking Sakura basses popped up on digimart literally the day after I bought it, although it was an extra 10000jpy and "B+" used condition as opposed to brand new. That paint job is something else though [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Got it on Tuesday, took it to band practice last night. All in all it's a fantastic bass, the neck is amazing, quite thin and just so easy to play. Sounds great too! I'm surprised there isn't too much interest in the Bacchus basses around here, seems like great value for money.

I have a Brian by Bacchus Pbass but I have my eyes on these 2. Can anyone confirm they are worth it? Both in the $500-$600 range.
That looks like an Audere preamp. Vol/Blend/Treb & Bass stacked. Also has the old 3-way Z switch.
Anyone here replace their single coil jazz pickups? The tone I get from mine are amazing, but the hum is kinda killing me...
