I dont understand why people think Jack Bruce has a bad voice. Just listen to "We're going wrong."

That is the key. Funny how many great bands (Beatles excluded) have medicore at best singers (Primus & Zappa himself) but make brilliant music to me.
There are clips on Youtube of Daltrey singing way off key and unable to hit certian notes. Greg Lake is notorious for having a flat voice. Ever see the Metallica movie?
Horrendously off key singing.
Dylan, Reed & Harvey are all "Talking Singers" - works for me.
I kind of like singers who don't sing "well" in the traditional sense. Examples?
Tom Waits, Shane MacGowan, Joe Strummer, Frank Black and Kim Deal, Iggy Pop, JJ Burnell, Diamond Dave (AAAAAAAH YAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!), Ozzy etc...
Billy Corgan though... as much as I like the old, 90's Pumpkins records, that dude's voice just irritates me.
Sorry to raise the dead here but I just read 8 pages of 'Bad singers who made it' and did not see one mention of Billy Corgan... This injustice must not be ignored!
<------ kind of reminds me of mellon collie and the infinite sadness.

Another vote for Dylan here. Great song writer, unspeakably dreadful singer.
Gwen Stefani
Dale Bozzio
Yeah, I remember old Bolton's supremely tasteless version of Georgia On My Mind. Talk about over-emoting. Wasn't he a Russian guy who became americanized somehow?Michael Bolton (killed his career trying to sing opera arias)
