Badger Schism Club

Doesn't seem to be a club for this amazing piece of hardware here on TB ...... so I'll start one.

I guess I'll be number 1 :)

Doesn't have to be a XV

I LOVE this guy. Parallel Loopers are essential to every bass player who uses effects....most of them just don't know it.

That being said, I upgraded to a custom looper that I based off of the Schism but with a momentary footswitch on the first channel for stutter effects, a feedback loop on the second loop, and a dedicated tuner loop. But I DO still love this guy.

I want a legit excuse to get a Schism.

Your money resents you for keeping it in the dark.

If the Schism doesn't feel wanted there will be retribution.

Your amp has been looking for a threesome with two effect chains.

All your face melting power can't be held in check by one serial signal path.

Parallel fuzzes make for interesting new sounds especially when combined with interesting EQ and other filters.

Octave down chain in parallel with octave up chain, or ring mod chain.

At least two of these are legit.

"Feeling overburdened by money?" Borderlands 2 players will recognize that one.

These two would do it for me.

I've been thinking about fading in and out my channels... took me about 10 minutes to realize I can put a volume pedal in either or both and do some sweet dirt/modulation fades.

For instance:
ch1 - high frequency gated-fuzz > filter > phaser
ch2 - heavy bass fuzz

So I'm blasting away with all effects on (I do it a lot, and it sounds surprisingly awesome), then I fade out ch1 so the mix is overwhelmed by muffled fuzz only. I guess I'd have to then bring up the volume of ch2...

I may have to buy another VP-Jr...

Had mine for a few months now - I've found it great for stacking distortion with fuzz and clean blend, ideal for getting close to Timmy C/Justin Chancellor dirt sounds. Just looking forward to getting my new board through so I can wire this in to its permanent home :)
