Sucks. The Valk is the best amp on the planet, for reals.

Thanks Jason. I really appreciate that! We did do some experimenting with the Valkyrie preamp and a very high end two channel class D module that was pretty impressive. I'd definitely like to do this at some point. I think that with some preamp tweaks and a power section like this, the Valkyrie could definitely have another shot.

I have to say that now that I have been in this a number of years, I have the utmost respect for the other small companies in the bass amp market. It takes an enormous amount of capital to bring each product to market and it's always a crap shoot as to what the market takes to and what it doesn't. It truly is a labor of love. Thank God that I have a wife as understanding as mine who is willing to put up with all this just because she knows that building bass gear is what truly makes me happy!

I went through a GAS phase where I was trying out various amps with a ML115 stack. At no point in time did I ever consider the cabs to be a weak link.

I enjoyed the Valkyrie, Eden WT1205, Eden VT300, and Genz-benz Streamliner 900.

Not so much the Markbass F500 and Aguilar DB751.

I'm no pro so ymmv.

On a side note, the Valkyrie was the only one in the group that truly seemed to take full advantage of a g&l l2000 in omg mode. It could make the ML115 stack make my basement feel like I was in a car stereo competition. Only this was with clarity on top of the brute force.

That would be interesting to see what you think pairs best with MLs

Just ordered Roger's last ML212 that he had left over from the last Namm show. Really excited. Have to wait until end of next week. Being I am in New York...the waiting is the hardest part.

I use one all the time. With 2 cabs it works well to put it in between the cabs to tilt the top one up

Hey Ben, do you notice any difference in the coverage by tilting it back?

Tilting like this sounds good with any cab but, you do lose some punch in the 150Hz coupling area. Not as bad as lifting the cabs off the floor though.

Not much noticeable difference in sound (although it can help decouple the cabs from a boomy stage floor) but it does make it easier to hear by tilting it up towards my head.

Congratulations! Had I known one existed I would have jumped on it. I ended up buying a genz-benz uber 212 after downsizing from the ML115 stack. I got it as a "placeholder" until a new baer 212 is built. Nothing wrong with my current cab, but it sure isn't a ML115 stack.

Also, I saw my old rig pop up on my Facebook news feed. Felt like looking at a long lost lover who slipped away from me, lol.

The only positive is that toning down my rig, I freed up funds to upgrade my axe.

I also just noticed the Bassman8416 is on the Modulus mob as well. I think you will enjoy the cab. I know the FU5 I had sounded great through the ML115s.

Frankly I should have stopped with my excessive gear swapping then. I'm just more of a 4 string guy. I'm loving the FU4 I have now. Just need to buy a cab from Roger once the wife agro dies down.
