Ok, once more ... how loud? And for how long?I used a 30hz sine wave with the NCH tone generator on my laptop.
EDIT: Forget it, I just pm'd Roger. It's easier than getting one answer per post.

Thanks tons! Now that there is some cool info. Makes a lot of sense actually. Watching cone movement makes a lot of sense.Sorry, didn't see that question!![]()
I've always just set it by eye - when I see the cone moving really good I stop turning up the volume. There's ways to figure it out if you have the kit but I'm not that fancy.
Using low frequencies for a long time will break it in faster, that's it really. Just playing is fine but it takes several hours of solid abuse usually.

You suck...... I'm definitely getting a second cab later on just because I can. Haha
Sweet ...Oh, don't kid yourself....you'll get a second one
Double the pleasure
Double the fun
I bought my second about a week after my first (my apologies for crappy cell phone pic) #'s 54 and 55
I just received a brand spanking new ML112 yesterday to replace my Aguilar DB112. I definitely hear a big difference in tone. I have an Aguilar AG500 head and the tone is amazing. I won't have any problems breaking it in by simply playing because the tone is that good. It now makes sense about doing a new set up on my bass. I definitely hear my sloppy playing with this cab. In just the 20 minutes I played yesterday I was able to adjust my playing a bit to clean up the fret clack. I think with new strings and set up it will be even better. I can't wait to hear it in a band setting. From what I've heard so far I think one cab will be perfect for most playing situations. I'm definitely getting a second cab later on just because I can. Haha

I haven't plugged in the baby bass yet. I'm sure it will nail the latin thump. I'm not too fond of the piezo sound of the baby bass. It's too nasal.
It's the stock pickup on the bass. It is an ampeg reissue and has both a piezo and diaphragm pickup with an active preamp. I think it is a 1 meg ohm input.
