Has anyone tried arco double bass with a ML112. I'm sure these guys would be perfect for me with BG, but I'm worried that the mid driver would accentuate the part of the spectrum that gets really grainy with bow work. I frequently run my wife's cello through my rig as well. I usually cut quite a bit out of the upper mids to get a nice smooth bow sound.

When I tried the ML112 with the upright I didn't use a bow. However, the six inch driver was warmer and more natural sounding than the usual horn. I'm sure the bow will sound thicker and more natural. Keep in mind, it's still being amplified and much depends on the pickup being used. Using a 10 meg ohm buffer like the one Fdeck offers will help smooth it all out.

Sorry Rog....all I said was Baer siting.....we're going to hell in a handbasket here. We'll get back on track...it's too much holiday cheer. As a natter of fact I'll post the awesomeness I'm gonna find as I break in the new Baers during the day tomorrow with the SL900 and TH500. It's good to be the king.
