Bag End Stack in the House!

... and thanks for hooking me up with your coax'd 15!

I may need to try the 12" cabinet next, the 18 combo would probably send me straight to the chiropractor ...

I certainly wouldn't recommend lugging around the 4x10 + 1x18 rig, just saying it sounds about as good as anything I've played. I mentioned this earlier but my band uses S18s as subs for our PA and they are suprisingly easy to carry the 4x10 not so much...

Tech Amp is making a 40lb 2x12 cab. I don't think in my right mind I'd buy another cabinet before at least giving that one a try.

You mean tube pre right?

I used a mesa walkabout with mine and it sounded very nice.

Yup; tube pre and SS power.

The Walkabout and Shuttle 6.0 were a couple of the heads I was curious about. Has anyone tried the MarkBass R500 with BE cabs?

I'm currently powering my S15-D with an Ampeg V4BH but I was thinking that a bit more power and a bit less weight might be nice. Of course, I don't want to sacrifice much in the way of tone :D I have also been pondering adding another S15-D or S12-D.

Since I referenced the thread, I gotta bump it!

Good to hear from Bag owners with still more interesting head/Bag combinations.

New content: I love the sound of my S15-D, driven by my Shuttle 6.0 fronted with a VT bass pedal. Hooo-HAAA!

I just picked up an Ampeg B2R. It sounds GREAT with my d10xd. This head has a pre out and power in, so it will also work with ELF/INFRA stuff too!

I'm thinking I'd just add power amps to the mix, as I add the rest of the Bags:

S18BD, Q10xd, s12d (x2, one loaded with a 12" BE bass guit speaker, one with the funny 12" guitard speaker that has the red dome but no coax, this pair is KILLER!). The possibilities!

I've been reading this thread for awhile, and chiming in here and there, but I haven't posted a picture yet.

Behold: d10xd, s12rd, s12d, s18bd. This is the medium stack. Got a Q10xd on the way, and some really rare 410s hopefully completing the stack this Spring.

Then we need to recruit more peeps! I love the 2x12 tone. I use my 2 1x12 together a lot more lately. For a little more ooomph I do the 2x10 with the 12 or all 3 together. The 18 usually stays home.

Has anyone ever stripped the red carpet off and finished the birch plywood?

I love that look, and I have some really ugly on my carpet that needs to be replaced (notice the 18, the unpictured 410 is even worse).

The carpeted models are made of poplar plywood instead of birch. It may not look very good.

most are, but the elf subs (at least the ones I've had) are birch, and some of the older deep red cabs are. My d10xd has a birch cab, and I *think* the q10xd (which needs a refinish) is birch, but I may be wrong.

Sadly, the s18 is a poplar cab, so should probably get new carpet.
