I’ve been on a (mostly) bourbon stress shopping binge lately. My current inventory:
Angel’s Envy Bourbon
Angel’s Envy Rye
Four Roses Single Barrel
Baker’s 7 Year
Woodford Reserve Double Oak
Old Forester 1920
Willet
Maker’s 46
Weller Special Reserve
Buffalo Trace
Eagle Rare 10 Year
Blanton’s
Woodford Reserve Rye

Weird thing is that it’s stress shopping and not stress drinking. I just feel compelled to buy whiskey.
I've enjoyed all the Woodford offerings that I've tried so far, at least 4 or 5 but I know there are a few left that I've missed, the Reserve Double Oak is one of them.
My buddy had a flask of some really smooth bourbon this past weekend but he couldn't remember the name (because it was a new brand he picked up, not because he was drunk, lol). He's going to bring the bottle this weekend, so I'll report back on that on Monday

Follow up on dinner... I just overheard my daughter telling her friends on her game server about how awesome our dinner was and she told them all about how long it took to make and how I made the sauce myself, etc. This ole papa bear is prouda hissef this evenin', itellyoowhut :smug:

Oh, and balsamic rules.
I wish I could talk myself into a really expensive bottle of it.

I saw a show on the cooking channel many years ago about balsamic. It was very interesting. Some aged barrels take many, many years...300 years... IIRC, to fully age.
It is fascinating stuff. The current inceptions of balsamic vinegar, while good, don’t do the real stuff justice.

This thread is a lot like the coffee thread! Like!
I would argue that any thread in OT is like that as they all eventually digress into absolute nonsense. Nay, any thread on this whole site. Nay, the whole internet.
In its defense toward actually contributing worthy content to the site I will say that I have already started riffing on the barbecue sauce recipe shared by @Kriegs so there.
