I would like to comment further but as I am facing a third strike at present and trying to hang on to ask a plumbing question next week in OT before hosting my own "farewell" exit thread -- let me simply say welcome back, as a big fan of your posts and your whole louche persona and routine, I found you a breath of fresh air and a worthy OT fixture.
Why your attempting to having your own ongoing thread of random daily topics was deemed "unsuitable" is beyond me, especially considering how it would have solved the complaints about you over-posting. In any case, your fast ascent on the "like" meter speaks volumes. Considering your good numbers, I think you should petition again to open your own "column."
In any case, you were missed in your absence and your return to publishing here should bring an uptick in traffic, which is of course for the good of the website owner as well as for those providing content gratis like yourself.
I just saw that for the first time on youtube (I stopped watching TV a long time ago), and it reminded of Lucille (not BB's Lucille).
